But after half time, he was done! He would start goofing off with his teammates instead. I would encourage him to get out there and help his team, but it was pretty much a waste of breath. Oh well. We tried. (I can't blame him too much though. It was always HOT. Who wants to be running around in 90 degree weather?!)

I have to laugh too, because after probably his second game he said he didn't want to play anymore. I told him he couldn't quit because HE signed up for it. His comeback was, "No, mom! YOU signed me up, not me!" I guess he got me there. I'm the one with he credit card! Although, in my defense he did say he wanted to play and I got the go ahead from him to sign him up. His last game is this Saturday and I'm sure he's thrilled! It's fine that soccer is not his "thing". We'll just take it slow and let him decided on his own what he really loves.

At least he never pulled his shirt over his knees and walked around the field calling himself a mini midget. What is with our boys? I still love to watch them play even if the give up easily. :)
