Post Crazy!
I know I've been posting a ton lately. I'm not apologizing, though. This blog is #1 for me and then #2 for you!
Good-bye Kindergarten!
Rachel's last day of Kindergarten was today. She absolutely LOVED her teacher, Miss Myntti. I actually grew up in the same ward as her so at the beginning of the school year it was a lot easier to send my first child off into the REAL world. Those of you who know Rachel know that she can be a bit timid and if she doesn't want to do something she won't without MUCH persuasion! She did GREAT this year. She never wanted to miss a day. She made many new friends and grew so much! I am so PROUD of her!
Kaden's FINAL birthday celebrations!
Kaden's birthday has been strung out over the week, but we finally finished celebrating yesterday. He had his birthday party on the 24th, I gave him his presents on the 28th (his actual birthday), but we saved the cake for the following day when Nate would be back in-town. As you can see from the middle picture, he was VERY excited to see he got the Transformers xbox game. He was even more happy when his dad informed him he didn't have to take it back... he thought we had just rented it like all the other times. I, of course, could only find Christmas wrapping paper. It's a good thing I bought some double sided rolls. Otherwise, you'd be looking at Santa and snowmen!Happy 5th Birthday, Kaden! We love you!

HARLEY BABE!
1,2... skip a few, 99, 100!

On Sunday Rachel was writing numbers down our driveway with sidewalk chalk. When Nate got home from a meeting she was at 16. He told her to keep writing until she got to 100 thinking that would get her across the street. She didn't hesitate at his request and kept on writing. Her writing got smaller and smaller, a few numbers were backwards and she said she had to curve it around the man holes, but she did it! 100! She was proud of herself and I have to admit so was I!
Birthday Party Fun
Kaden had his birthday party last Saturday. His birthday isn't until May 28th, but that was the only day we could throw a party. Between cousins, neighborhood friends and preschool buddies he has quite a circle of friends. We had a house full of 5 year olds (give or take a year) and had a blast! We broke off into 3 groups and played games... bean bag toss, bowling and bingo!!! I didn't plan that they would all start with the letter 'B', but it sounds fun! Then of course, we opened presents and had cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun and I know Kaden loved it! Thanks to all who came and to my mom, Shelly (sister) and Kailey (niece) for helping. Like always, I got so busy with the party that I didn't take very many pictures... someday I'll get it together!

It's Graduation Day, Hooray!
Kaden graduated from Sunny Daze Preschool yesterday. He did a great job. He kept his eyes on his classmates most of the time and when it came time for his solo part in a poem he tipped his head back and didn't want to say it. (See top right picture.) He had his part memorized, but ended up saying it with his teacher's help. It can be scary with all those people staring straight at you! His teacher said he always gets his work done before he plays and helps others with their work too. He is kind to others and follows the rules. I knew he was a good kid, but it's nice to know he's well mannered when he's not at home. Great job, Kaden! We had camera issues during all this. Our camcorder ran out of tape half way through so we used our digital camera for a camcorder. Then all the disk space filled up so we were taking still pictures with our camcorder. This video is from our digital camera. Watch at your own risk!

Happy, Happy Birthday!
I can't believe my baby boy is 3! We celebrated his birthday while we spent a couple nights away during Nate's vacation time. I have never been big on fancy decorations or cakes so my poor children are deprived, but I don't think they really notice or care. At least that's what I tell myself! May 13, 2005 was a very happy day. Nate was scheduled to leave on a business trip to Hawaii (yes, without me!) on the 15th so my doctor induced my labor on Friday the 13th, which also happened to be my due date. Our little Tye Jacob was born at 1:20 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz.. He is full of smiles and love. He thinks he's as big as his older brother and sister and wants to do whatever they are doing. He keeps us laughing and wishing we could just bottle him up so he will stay this sweet, cute and innocent forever! We love you, "Tye Guy" or as Kaden would say, "Bubba". Happy Birthday!
p.s. His head is shaved because Kaden got gum in it. I missed getting a picture. Good thing he's a boy!

Tye-nkerbell

It's tough when you have to play with a girl! Tye was dressed up as Spiderman, but decided to be a fairy instead. I'm not sure if it was his idea or our little neighbor's. He was happy to have it on through the photo shoot (which was a total of one minute). Then, as you can see, he was begging me to take it off of him. Good boy!
Cinnamon Rolls
Last week I tried to be a fun mom and make cinnamon rolls. The kids ran and got their Home Depot aprons on and we had a great time measuring, pouring, blending, rolling, cutting and baking. It was all smiles until the very end when we were cleaning up. Rachel decided she didn't get to taste as much of the dough as Kaden did. It wasn't fair according to her. I tried to convince her that bread dough isn't yummy to just eat. She still thinks differently. I tried to take a picture of her meltdown, but all I got was a covered face and a lot of tears. Hopefully they'll remember the fun we had.
