Geek Squad
Should I worry that my 20 month old knows how to use an iPhone? For a few months now Eliza has been able to unlock it and play games. She even makes calls now and then! I'm pretty sure they are teaching them technology up in heaven.

Swensen Family Reunion 2011
This year we stayed close to home and were minus the Harward family and a couple uncles, but we still managed to have a good time. We started out with a big breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa's house (forgot to snap some pics) then hiked the Grotto trail in Payson Canyon (same hike as a couple years ago). The water is freezing, but the kids had fun splashing in it.
Nate and two of my brothers-in-law offered my dad 50 bucks if he'd dunk his whole body in the water....
He did. He came out with a gash on his arm, though. Was it worth the $50? I'm not sure he thought so in the end. :)
We also went to my sister's house and let the kids "swim" in the (not so hot) hot tub and blow up water slide.
Then it was off to our house for dinner, games, an outdoor movie and a sleepout.
It was short and sweet. We are hoping next year it will work out in everyone's plans to go up to Bennington, Idaho again. We'll keep our fingers crossed. Thanks Laura and Shelly for all the planning!

K*I*S*S*I*N*G
First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes the baby in the baby carriage.
Nate could hear smooching sounds so he went to find the source. He found Haley and her little friend, Carston, kissing in the curtains. Oh dear! I'm sure in ten years she'll be mortified by this. :)

Oh the Naughtiness
Eliza is drawn to water like a moth to a flame....
I find her in these spots on a regular basis. She also loves the hose.

McGraw '11
So as I said in an earlier post, Nate bought tickets to the Tim McGraw concert for my birthday and August 6th was the lucky day. Yes, it was Haley's birthday. Yes, I had guilt. Yes, I still went. And yes, I had fun. No regrets in the end. We celebrated with Haley all morning and afternoon so it all worked out fine.
We met up with our friends, Jeff and Heather, went to dinner then headed to the concert.
It's amazing the types of people you never knew existed.... especially in Utah. But that's when you put your sunglasses on and people watch or just ignore those around you. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of completely ignoring the people around you, though. For example, this couple right in front of us. He sat very still...
While she shook her thang while Luke Bryan serenaded her. Lucky!
Then as luck would have it it got darker and Tim McGraw came out to save us from the awful show we were forced to watch. He didn't just walk out on stage, though. He walked out into the middle of the seat sections and was only feet away from me. Do you hear me? Feet!!
Nate was gone with Jeff getting snacks so I got to show all my excitement to Heather. I think she thinks I'm a freak, but oh well.
And then it happens. I get a picture of him pointing at ME! At least, that's what I tell myself. :) It sure looks that way so my story is, Tim McGraw looked at me and thinks I am pretty cool. Ha! Jk It is an awesome picture, though.
After a couple songs he moved down to the stage and we had a great time listening and singing along. Such a fun night.
And you can't come home empty handed...

Haley's Birthday
Our sweet, little Haley turned 4 years old on August 6, 2011. She is full of energy and spunk. Life around here is never dull when she's around. She loves to play with her friends and cousins. She loves to ride bikes, play house, sing, cook, go to the store and spend lots of time in her swim suit. She is so much fun and we are so blessed to have her be a part of our family.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HALEY!
