Grapes

I have yet to preserve much from my garden.  By the end of July I'm done with it... that's when the bugs are getting larger and my ability to be in close proximity to them dwindles.

(See how my dead garden has turned into a breeding ground.  Even if it's just lady bug larvae.... ew.)  Then because of my aversion to bugs the quality of everything I grow ends up lacking or I don't pick it in time and end up with over done goods.  I'm a work in progress, people.  But to my credit of being a "homemaker" (I use that word loosely), I have managed the past two years to juice my own grapes.  Grapes that I grew.  Well, grapes that grow in my yard anyway.  I'm glad I get to feel some bit of satisfaction and accomplishment from them.  Heaven knows I could use a little green thumb pat on the back!
