Strawberry Days Parade

It was rainy and windy, but the kids still had a great time catching candy and hanging out with their cousins. Haley made herself at home.... in the road! My sister, Laura and her two scallywags.... I mean daughters, were on the pirate ship. Laura's husband is the manager of Pirate Island which will be opening soon in Orem.... you'll have to check it out!

Boating

Ya gotta love friends with boats.....

How did I end up with all the crying kids????

After they fell off the tube and Nate had Rachel and Henry (friend) calmed down, Rachel asked if they almost drowned..... no dear, it's called floating! As you can see she is smiling, but she stayed on the boat the rest of the time.

T-BALL

This has been Tye's first year playing T-Ball and he has loved it! I couldn't say that about Kaden or Rachel when they played. Nate ended up being the assistant coach. Apparently a lady at the rec center gave him a guilt trip so he checked the box to help coach.... and he's done a fine job keeping the kids running in the right direction!
Go... Tye... Go!

Bishop Family Reunion

We had a super fun reunion with Nate's side of the family June 22-24. (We missed Eric and Kim and their kids, though.) We started out hiking to Timpanogos Cave. With a few pregnant ladies, lots of little ones and one old guy (oh, sorry Loren. Did I say that out loud?!), we did it! We were minus Mary (Nate's mom)..... who we didn't just leave on the mountain side, she was smart and didn't attempt it! It was a tough hike, but it was worth it. Nate had hiked it when he was 9 or 10 and I never had. We made some fun memories.
We camped for 3 days and played, laughed, ate, sang Kum Ba Yah .... wait, stratch that last one.... and had a really great time together. Nate and I had to chase Haley a lot of the time. She would kick it in high gear and make her own trail through bushes! She kept us on our toes, that's for sure. The kids had a very entertaining talent show one of the nights. We have some good talent in this family! We did a little more "hiking" at Cascade Springs. Nate and I took our wedding announcement pictures there so we decided to take another one 11 years later. Aww..... mushy, mush, {did you just gag???}... moving on....

There were lots of girly crafts to keep the girls entertained. {Thanks Jamie!}

Then the dads sent the boys to attacked us with their paper airplanes!!

We had a little "visitor" each night. The first night he made a big mess (thanks to Scott for cleaning it up) and the next night he only had some dog food to snitch. Sorry Mr. Racoon, no marshmallows for you this time!
Kaden had a front tooth hanging on by a thread one of the days (pictured above somewhere). It came out the day we were leaving. Unfortunately, the Tooth Fairy didn't know we were home and couldn't find us that night so Kaden had to leave a note the next night.

Oh Baby!

To a lot of you this is old news, but to some it might not be. I am expecting our fifth child December 29th. For once I think I might be hoping for a "late" baby just so it is closer to the New Year than Christmas.... only time will tell. We are very excited, but at times think we are totally out of our minds! Are we??? (Don't answer that!) Well, even if we are it doesn't matter. We are happy to have another little one join our family.

Remember.....

This was last year's strawberry crop. I thought I might be in for another 2008 flop, but....

Ta-dah!! Success, my friends, feels good! My father-in-law is so proud right now. I just know it!

Summer Fest

We had a fun Saturday at my sister, Janice's house barbecuing, playing games, and hanging out waiting for Orem's Summer Fest fireworks. With the crazy weather we've been having we weren't sure how the evening would turn out, but we were able to enjoy eating in her backyard and a nice rainbow then took shelter in her house while it rained. The skies cleared just in time to setup in her driveway for the firework show at 10:00. It was a great evening and it made it feel a bit more like June instead of April. Thanks Janice and Lorin!

Octopus Princess

Rachel was an octopus princess in her dance studio's performance of The Little Mermaid. She did a great job.... my picture taking on the other hand, not so much. She decided not to take dance next fall so this may have been her last hurrah. It was quite a day with a rehearsal and two shows. Thanks to my mom and sister, Laura for all their help watching kids! Her dad gave her a rose after the last show..... she LOVED it! Great job, Rachie!

The Runaway

She's a quick one! I have {accidentally} let her get out of my sight and found her a few houses away before, but tonight as Nate and I were frantically looking everywhere for her our neighbor calls and says Haley is at their house in the cul-de-sac south of ours. She apparently followed Kaden to his friend's house pushing her little doll stroller. The thing is he was on his scooter and left her in his dust. All the while oblivious that she was even following him, but she still knew where to go! I think she was in heaven.... she found a little girl about her age and I was told they were hugging and all the kids were oohing and awing and that's when the mom realized there was another baby there and I wouldn't just let my (almost) 22 month old roam the neighborhood! To top it off-- while Nate was out searching the neighborhood for her on his long board he totally ate it! {I didn't get to see the crash and burn.... dang it! Not that I'm glad he got hurt, but it would've been funny to watch!} He had to go into the house while I walked to the neighbor's to get Haley. She was happy as could be and teased me the whole way home threatening to turn and bolt from me at any moment. I checked on poor Nate when we got home. He has some road rash and his shoulder hurts pretty bad (not to mention his pride). His shoulder looks a little "wrong", but we'll see how it his tomorrow. As for Haley.... I could use a GPS tracker!
